The Puerto Rico Minority Supplier Development Council (PRMSDC) is committed to identifying new growth and development opportunities for Certified Minority Business Enterprises. That is why PRMSDC’s top management has held several meetings with government officials, advocating to create better economic conditions for minority business sectors, through greater inclusion opportunities in the supply chain when reshoring multinational companies into PR and the US.
On February 12, 2021, we met with the Resident Commissioner, Hon. Jenniffer González, and presented a proposal supporting Bill H.R. 7527, authored by her and filed at the Federal Congress in July 2020. The bill supports the creation of “Distressed Industrial Zones (DIZ)”, adopted by the honorable congresswoman from our 2017 economic development proposal. Our support toward this initiative continues, and by this means, we will keep you informed of its progress.
